The warp gate for the Cutts and Bruises Skate Park in Orchid Bay, from OpenFusion.

“  Badly infected areas are surrounded by force fields to prevent Fuse's infection from spreading. Use warp gates to enter and exit the infected zones.  ”

The warp gate[1][2] is a gimmick in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a type of warp portal used primarily by the Avatar to travel in and out of Infected Zones.

Physical appearance[]

The warp gates are distinguished machines. They are each characterized as a raised and round metal platform frame on the ground. Their outer frame is blue and hollowed out, with a blue hexagon-patterned energy base inside it. Each warp gate also has four red ramps on its edges that are positioned an equal distance from each other. These ramps have black top surfaces with yellow arrows on them that point towards their warp gate's center. Each warp gate also has four mechanical-looking red, gray and blue prongs protruding upward from the edges of the outer frame. These prongs have yellow and black hazard stribes on the bottom and a gray cable on the middle. The warp gates also emit gently pulsing blue lights. Lastly, each warp gate is attended by a Dexbot with treads as feet.

When the warp gate teleports a user, the Avatar is momentarily surrounded by an orange light.

Gameplay[]

In gameplay, warp gates are used to transport the Avatar into and out of an Infected Zone. Utilizing them are free of costs, such as Taros and Fusion Matter.

There is a warp gate just outside of an Infected Zone and typically two warp gates inside it. Inside of Infected Zones, the warp gates are normally located at both ends of the overall routes through them. Exceptions to this rule include the Hani-Baba Temple, where the route through said Infected Zone loops back to the warp gate leading into it. Notably, the warp gates inside of an Infected Zone will always teleport the Avatar back to the warp gate outside their Infected Zone that took them into it. One exception to this is the warp gate inside Infected Zone in Tech Square in the Future, where the warp gate inside said Infected Zone is defunct to prevent the players from backtracking.

To enter an Infected Zone, click on the Dexbot attendant at the warp gate and select the "WARP" icon. The player exits Infected Zones via warp gates the same way.

History[]

Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall[]

Fusion Invasion[]

The Future[]

In the Future, shortly after arriving in Tech Square, the Avatar used a warp gate to enter the Infected Zone. Later, after they and Dexter defeated Fusion Buttercup in Fusion Buttercup's Lair, the Avatar fled from the lair using a warp gate Dexter had set up.[3]

The Avatar and other soldiers opposing the Fusion Invasion would subsequently make frequent use of the warp gates around the remains of the Suburbs to enter and exit the local Infected Zones.

The Past[]

In the Past, the warp gates that had been set up around the Earth would regularly be used by the Avatar and soldiers participating in the war against Planet Fusion for the purpose of entering and exiting Infected Zones everywhere.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Remote Teleportation: The warp gates' primary function allows them to teleport a user between two warp gates. This ability can bypass the energy shields of Infected Zones and mountain walls.
