Harada-Bridges Records is a location in FusionFall Retro and its fan revivals. Its headquarters is a Townsville-based record label founded through a joint partnership between former musician/performer Sunny Bridges and Kaz Harada, manager for famous J-Pop/Rock duo Puffy AmiYumi, which distributes music from many talents in the Cartoon Network Universe.[1] It is also Fusion Belladonna's Fusion Lair within Marquee Row.

The Fusion Portal into Harada-Bridges Records in Marquee Row, from Retrobution.

Harada-Bridges Records is a unique type of Fusion Lair, and is made up of three parts. Set inside of the Harada-Bridges Records in Marquee Row, the first part of it consists of a series of dark hallways and rooms connected to each other along one long passage. The walls have dark gray and light gray panels and impassible doors on them, dark ceilings with ceiling lights on them, and dark floors with red carpets on them and several stanchions aligned along them. There are also various other things throughout the lair, such as loudspeakers, vinyl records on the walls, a few tall potted plants, and numerous posters of musicians from around the Cartoon Network Universe on the walls, making the entire lair resemble a museum of some sorts. In one of the rooms is also a miniature model of Sunny Bridges Auditorium. Near the end of the lair is also a Puffy AmiYumi album art that has been altered to depict former Puffy AmiYumi member, Julie Hinikawa, in the place of Ami.

The first part of this lair starts out at the entrance Fusion Portal, with Big Billy, Lil' Arturo, Grubber, and Snake residing in the following room. Also, at the end of this part is a key-based warp portal that takes the player into the second part of the lair, which is called the "Recording Studio Hall".

The second part of the lair is set inside the building's "Quite-Recording Area". This section consists of a very short hall that is similar in design to the first part of Harada-Bridges Records, but with music sheets on the floor. Inside it is also Buttercup (in her Powerpuff Girls attire). Also, at the end of this part is another key-based warp portal, which leads into the final part of the lair: the "Recording Studio".

The final part of the lair is based on the typcial recording studio. The floors and walls are made of wooden planks, and a window screen with the Harada-Bridges Records' logo below it and vents can be found on the wall on the left. The room also hosts several music instruments and music posters on its walls, and has music sheets on the floor. Inside room, Fusion Belladonna can also be found.

History[]

FusionFall Retro[]

Before FusionFall[]

Harada-Bridges Records

The Harada-Bridges Records building, from FusionFall Retro.

When Puffy AmiYumi played a concert in Westley School for the Performing Arts, Kaz met up with Sunny, one of the school's teachers, and tried to convince the former singer to go back to his old career. Being burnt out from performing and nearly retiring, he refused the offer. Some time after this meeting, however, Bridges contacted Kaz and pitched to him the idea of forming a record label, reportedly aiming to provide a trustworthy label to which up-and-coming musicians (such as his students) could sign on without having the soul of their music sucked up by the industry. On the condition that Kaz would be the one handling the money, the two formed the company, eventually becoming the most well-known and well-trusted label to come out of Townsville.[1]

Some of the bands that would sign on with the label were the Powerpuff Girls, the Trendbenders, Pizza Party, the Gangreen Gang and Puffy AmiYumi. The label would also redistribute collections of older albums, such as Shag Carpeting and Mr. Universe.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Harada-Bridges Records contains the following easter eggs and references:
    • The text at the top of the Harada-Bridges Records building is based on the Capitol Records building in Hollywood.
    • One of the hanging vinyls in the lair has the words "Trans Rights" on them.
    • The Shag Carpeting's album cover in the lair is a remade version of the one seen in Ben 10.
    • The Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi album art in the lair is based on the art used for the real-life album of the same name.
    • The Powerpuff Girls single "Love Makes the World Go Round" in the lair is a reference to "Mime for a Change", in which the Powerpuff Girls sing said song.
    • The Funkaneers' name that appear on the posters in the lair was the name of Sunny Bridges's old band. His students took on the name during "The Hunt for Red Blobtober".
    • The letters used on the Gangreen Gang's banner resemble the logo for the virtual band Gorillaz.
    • The text on the plaque attached to the Sunny Bridges Auditorium model in the lair states as follows: "Sunny Bridges Auditorium - This auditorium was proudly designed and constructed by Morbucks Enterprises, and is truly one of the greatest buildings to grace Townsville with its presence, at least until the Morbucks Towers are built. Named after the famous musician and performer, Sunny Bridges, this auditorium is a monument to the great music to come out of the City of Townsville. This text was written by Virt, and if you can read this you’re a nerd."
  • A banner ad for the Gangreen Gang was created, but it went unused because FFU artist Virt wanted to give Class of 3000 more representation than just the name of the building and the logo of the record label, so the Funkaneers banner took its place.[citation needed]
  • According to Retro Gamemaster Devan, the final design of the building was the result of technical limitations with Retro at the time of its creation.[citation needed]
