“  The "Petting Zoo" is not full of cute and fluffy creatures for you to pat (unless you consider giant wolf-faced fusion-arachnids "cute"). No, this is the advanced containment facility located inside the Providence home base and the site where you will receive your advanced combat training! Are you ready for the challenges ahead?!  ”

– Training Guide - Advanced Training[1]

Providence HQ, also known as the "Petting Zoo",[1] is an area in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is an advanced containment facility located inside the Providence home base that is used for housing exotic animal and plant Evos.[1] During the Fusion Invasion however, it has been turned into training grounds for the Academy's recruits, who are taught advanced combat in this location.[1]

Environment[]

Providence HQ is an artificial forest, its setting serving as an ideal training ground for new recruits for the war.[2]

There are visuals of some Evos from Generator Rex.

The Past[]

In the Past, DexLabs, the Plumbers, and Providence created a new training system for soldiers opposing the Fusion Invasion. For that purpose, they chose the Providence HQ's Petting Zoo to be the second step in training new recruits. Rex, Lance, Finn, and Computress would undertake the task of overseeing the work of the new cadets in this area. In addition, Providence HQ would be one of a number of facilities where people would conduct vital research on the nature of Fusions.[3] As for Lord Fuse's endeavors to overtake this area, Providence had so far been able to fend off his attempts.[4]

Providence HQ was where the rest of the Avatar's training continued after obtaining the Finn Nano in the Null Void. During their training here, the Avatar obtained the Nanos for Alien X and Rex. Fusion Ben and Fusion Rex had both also been imprisoned here, the former of whom had been infecting his containment area, much to Lance's bemusement.

Providence HQ, from Generator Rex.

Providence HQ originates from the 2010 animated science fiction television series Generator Rex. In that media, it is the base of operations and control center for Providence. The structure serves a multitude of purposes, acting as a containment area for special Evos, a research center for Nanites, and even a residence for operatives like Rex, Agent Six and other agents and researchers.

The contents of Providence HQ are mostly derived from the Petting Zoo, a special containment area inside Providence headquarters with a self-contained ecosystem that has been in use since before Providence headquarters was even finished. It is used by the organization to house relatively harmless animal and plant Evos, although it also has a sector for containing dangerous and incurable Evos, called the Hole.
