Look at these Root Samples under the microscope. Each sample looks like a tiny version of the Ghastly Growths. There must be a connection!

Gather three samples from Ghastly Growths. Journal Evil Takes Root (Part 2 of 3) Based on what we saw in the microscope, I think the Dark Tree is actually trying to defend itself, but the Fusion Matter is attacking the Tree at the roots. It's my belief that the struggle between these two forces is creating more and more of these Ghastly Growths. So much so that we may soon be overrun with them. I need you to thin out their ranks a bit and then use the Core Sampling Tool to gather Samples of their makeup. I want to confirm my hypothesis.
